ROSSANA CHAVEZ – ORFEBRE

Desde temprana edad sabía claramente que mi camino era la orfebrería y la joyería específicamente, es por eso que a los 17 años entré a estudiar Licenciatura en Artes Plásticas con mención en Orfebrería en la Universidad de Chile, egresé en el año 1993 y en el año 1995 me titulé como Orfebre.

Trabajo con diversos materiales tales como oro, plata, cobre, piedras preciosas y semipreciosas, perlas, maderas nativas, cuero de pescado, esmaltes.

Cada  pieza que trabajo está completamente fabricada a mano, desde la fundición del metal, hasta el acabado y pulido final.

Realicé clases de joyería desde el año 1998 hasta el año 2019, en mi taller en Aisén.

Entre mis muchas inspiraciones, una parte de mis diseños están influenciados por pinturas rupestres, paisajes, aromas, colores y texturas de mi amada Patagonia, lugar donde resido.

Cada pieza que diseño y fabrico lleva un trabajo de creación y dedicación, que estoy segura transmite una energía especial, son de edición limitada, son piezas únicas.

From an early age I knew clearly that my path was goldsmithing and jewelry specifically, that is why at the age of 17 I began to study a Bachelor of Plastic Arts with a mention in Goldsmithing at the University of Chile, I graduated in 1993 and in the year 1995 I graduated as a Goldsmith.

I work with various materials such as gold, silver, copper, precious and semi-precious stones, pearls, native woods, fish leather, enamels.

Every piece I work on is completely handcrafted, from the casting of the metal, to the final finishing and polishing.

I took jewelry classes from 1998 to 2019, in my workshop in Aisén.

Among my many inspirations, a part of my designs are influenced by cave paintings, landscapes, aromas, colors and textures of my beloved Patagonia, where I live.

Each piece that I design and manufacture takes a work of creation and dedication, which I am sure transmits a special energy, they are limited edition, they are unique pieces.
